ADIDAS MANCHESTER MARATHON

Join Us On A New Couch to 5K course.

Hard Yards have an ongoing couch to 5k course, the course is free and open to everyone. We welcome people of all abilities and fitness levels, you don’t need any fancy gear or previous experience of running or exercise.
Just you and a pair of trainers.
Successfully trialled by the NHS, Hard Yards Running Club was established in Stretford in 2018 to combat poor mental health and encourage exercise in a safe and welcoming environment. We use physical activity, peer support and social engagement to help individuals manage their mental health and make positive changes to their lives.

We meet every Tuesday evening between 7 and 9 at Stretford Public Hall.

Manchester Half Marathon.

Sunday 15th October 2023.

Hard Yards has several members running in this grueling event.

Three 10K’s in 3 weeks!

Altrincham 10K, 17th September. Warrington 10K, 24th September and Knutsford 10K, 1st October 2023.

Hard Yards will have several members running in these events. They all start at 9.30am and should be a great days out.

Couch to 5K 7pm,18th April at Stretford Public Hall

Hard Yards Running Club starts a new Couch to 5K.

16th April 2023. Manchester Marathon.

Hard Yards has 2 relay teams entered in the Manchester Marathon and 2 runners doing the complete marathon.

Team 1 Rose, Charlotte, Karen and Harriet.

Team 2 Alice, Mags, Aimee and Claire

Our two runners doing the full marathon are Gripper and Mark.

5th March Trafford 10K Partington.

Hard Yards will have several members running in this event. It starts at 9.30am and should be a great day out.

10th December 2022. Tatton Park 10k.

Hard Yards Running Club intend celebrating Charlotte’s 12th 10k of 2022 and Christmas, with a 10k run around Tatton park. The fun starts at 9am and if you don’t want to run, just come along and watch and cheer everyone who’s running.

Struggling with your Mental Health? 

Would you like to improve your fitness and feel better about yourself? 

Couch to 5K with Hard Yards Running Club.  Tuesday 6th September, 7pm at Stretford Public Hall. 

Hard Yards is putting on a couch to 5K courses open to all and facilitated by mental health nurses and qualified run leaders. We welcome people of all abilities and fitness levels, no fancy equipment or previous experience required. 

Just you and a pair of trainers and best of all, the course is FREE!

Run / CoffeeEvery Tuesday night at 7pm at Stretford Public Hall we meet for a run, a brew and a biscuit. We have runners of all abilities and ages. If you ask all of our members, they will tell you that the chat is the best part of the night.
